Senior Pioneers

Pioneers are committed supporters of the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Who will be very instrumental in making the Membership Campaign a success.  With their dedication, they will enable the African American Museum to collect, preserve and present the contribution of African American in the Delaware Valley.

 

What Does A “Pioneer” Do?

A Pioneer will first recruit one other Pioneer, and then recruits at least four friends, relatives or co-workers to become members of the African American Museum Senior Membership. For only $30 entitles free admission, invitations to openings and special events, 10% discount on gift ship items, and free admission to lecture series.

Pioneers meet quarterly with Membership Coordinator, to discuss progress of the Membership Campaign, offer suggestions and receive materials to update new recruits.


Young Friends Society

The Young Friends Society of the African American Museum in Philadelphia is a unique group of Philadelphians in their twenties, thirties and forties who are interested in promoting AAMP's mission and initiatives. The establishment of this society has provided an intellectually and culturally curious assortment of young people with a stimulating outlet for which to promote African Diasporan culture and history. The Young Friends support AAMP events, host intellectual lectures and discussions, and social gatherings geared toward raising cultural and political awareness within the community.


Networking Opportunities

As a Young Friend of AAMP, you will be a part of a diverse collective established to create social, educational and leadership opportunities for young Philadelphians. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with young artists, entrepreneurs, professionals, community activist, and scholars in a nurturing and progressive environment.


YFS Involvement
